As the first and the most important social institution influential in human life, family has since long ago been of concern to the experts in different disciplines of human sciences. Similarly, various theories have been brought up in relation to the role, function, and philosophy of family formation.
After giving an explanation of the status of family in the past and present, the writer of the present article sets out to deal with some bases of family disintegration. Then, he goes on to touch upon feminism and its socio-cultural origin, as well as the most important goals, demands, and functions of feminism and its influence in the family institution.
Another part of the article addresses the status of family in the Qur'an, maintaining that man's need to family is actually a beyond-instinct need which transcends sexual instinct satisfaction.
In conclusion, achieving "tranquility" and "comfort" is regarded as the philosophy of matrimony and family formation from the viewpoint of the Qur'an and is considered to be a source of distinction between human beings and lower animals.

The systematic study of determinism and free will, which is the human part of predestination, particularly in its Qur'anic and narrative context, requires to be dealt with in its conceptual as well as assertoric principles.
The evidences of deterministic theories such attributes of God as Eternal Knowledge, Absolute Creatorship, and General Providence. The Qur'anic and theological expression of these evidences and their reasons, showing the weaknesses of their reasons together with pointing out the sequence and homogeneity of the outcomes of these types of faulty expressions, as well as the presuppositions which were the source for untrue impressions of the Qur'anic verses and Divine Attributes are the issues examined in this article.

In this article, the writer undertakes to analyze the good and evil, various types of evil, and ‘Allāma Ṭabāṭabā’ī's solutions for removing the inconsistency of the existence of good and evil with Almighty God and His attributes.
In his discourse on the analyzing of good and evil, he brings up two analyses by ‘Allāma Ṭabāṭabā’ī. According to the first analysis, ‘Allāma regards good as existential and evil as non-existential. According to the second analysis, the author of Al-Mīzān introduces good as essentially desirable and evil as essentially undesirable. In the discourse concerning various types of evil, ‘Allāma's view on the semantic development of good and evil is touched upon and then his view about the division of good and evil into creational and legislative is reported. Similarly, in the discourse about solutions, three solutions approved by ‘Allāma are reviewed as follows: First solution: good and evil are relative rather than essential. Second solution: evils are non-existential rather than existential. Third solution: evils are necessary for the fulfillment of good.

Research on the Theory of "The Numerical Miracle and Mathematical Order of the Qur'an"

The Holy Qur'an enjoys different aspects of rhetorical, legislative, and scientific miracles, as well as information about the Unseen and artistic creations. However, Qur'anic scholars and thinkers believe that the aspects of the Qur'an's miracle are not merely limited to the above and that every one may uncover, by further deliberation and pondering into the Qur'an, other aspects of its miracles.
One of the issues brought up in the present century by some Qur'an researchers is the theory of "The Numerical Miracle and Mathematical Order of the Qur'an". Representing the miraculous numerical and mathematical order of the Qur'an, this theory was first presented by Dr. Rashād Khalīfa in 1972.
This theory appealed to the Qur'an researchers to such an extent that many more relevant studies were subsequently added to his researches, so much as tens of books and articles were written in similar fields.
In this article, we are going to study the above theory in three sections: the miracle of the number 19, detached letters and their relation to the number 19, and proportion in the repetition of the words of the Qur'an, and to state the views of the proponents and opponents as well as the final view in this respect.

The term Sābi’īn and Sābi’ūn has been referred to three times in the Qur'an. The Qur'an's conception in regard to the Sābi’īn religion, like other revealed religions, is based on tendency toward the Origin and Return (mabda‘ and ma‘ād), and salvation in the Hereafter. Nevertheless, it has been noticed that the translators and interpreters have spoken with ambiguity and suspicion and in an uncertain and general way about the followers of this religion when explaining the concept of this term and determining the faith of the adherents to this religion; some jurists have even avoided mentioning them as among the People of the Book.
This article is a research in the semantics of the term Sābi’īn in an exegetical, jurisprudential, and historical approach, emphasizing the fact that this term has undergone a transformation in a historical point of time and this confusion in attribution of the term caused the translators and interpreters of the Qur'an and certain jurists to fall into such diversity of opinion. The procedure taken in this article is to explicate the three Qur'anic verses in question, to compare various Persian translations of this term, and to study historical documents and exegetical opinions of the interpreters and jurists and to state their viewpoints.

Bringing up the issue of distortion, the writer addresses the two reasons given by Fayḍ in relation to the Qur'an as being literally undistorted. Then, he proceeds to explain the traditions concerning distortion, contending that in view of Fayḍ these traditions relate to intellectual distortion and the interpretation of the verses, rather than to literal distortion.
Finally, he goes on to deal with the Fayḍ's criticism of those who believe in distortion, and regards their reasons as incomplete in his view.

The Project, "A Sociological Research on the Qur'an" is organized in three executive phases: extraction of sociological propositions, thematic classification, and theoretical explication of the themes, of which the first phase has been carried out in the Khurāsān Islamic Propagation Office over the past seven years. The research method of this project has been organized in the following stages:
Identifying the noble verses that deal with sociological verses.
Analyzing and separating the exegetical discourses underlying any of the noble verses (in the four tafsīrs of Rāhnamā, Al-Mīzān, Nimūna, and Majma‘ al-Bayān) into main and peripheral principles and concepts as well as areas, situations, circumstances, and the type and quality of the relation among the concepts.
Adapting and finding equivalents for the principles and concepts and the specified relations in sociological language.
Reordering and presenting the material obtained (as a result of adaptation and translation) in the form of logical propositions (axiomatizing the materials obtained).
Following the above-mentioned stages, the propositions obtained will be thematically classified in the form of a separate project and then each class will be theoretically explicated and interpreted.
