The article presented here is a translation of the attempt made by Dr. Ṣā’ib ‘Abd al-Ḥamīd in extracting the theory of Qur’ānic interpretation of history from Dr. ‘Imād al-Dīn Khalīl’s book Al-Tafsīr al-Islāmī li al-Tārīkh, published 1412/1991, and placed it in the ending section of his book Falsafa al-Tārīkh fī al-Fikr al-Islāmī, published in 1428/2007, pp. 589-628. In this article, the principles of Dr. ‘Imād al-Dīn Khalīl’s thought are explicated and in the end his viewpoint of the extractor of the article has been criticized.
