This article is intended to introduce the concept and the semantic components of the term "revelation" in Qur'anic lexicons and applications. The writer first examines the literal meaning of the word, and then reviews its Qur'anic compounds. Afterwards, he points out the applications of the word revelation and its applied meanings, and touches upon five of its meanings.
