Abstract

The Persian translation of Professor Muḥammad Mahdī Fūladvand is at present regarded as one of the best and most successful translations of the Qur'an, which has been accomplished away from specific tendencies and extremist approaches. The respectable translator has based his translation on fluency and readability and presented a competent and praiseworthy translation. This work is an extended and, on occasions, interpreted translation of the Holy Qur'an whose level of scholarship is highly remarkable. Despite all merits and values, however, like other translations, it is open to criticism and holds certain scholarly strengths and weaknesses. In this article, the above translation is examined from various morphological, syntactic, and literary dimensions.
