Muhammad Husayn Dhahabi, the Egyptian Qur’an researcher, has brought up some doubts about the Shi’ite interpretations in his “Al-Tafsir wal-Mufassirun”, followed by some criticism on Tabrisi. In the present article, Dhahabi and his work as well as his religious inclination and his criticism of Shi’ism are introduced and some instances of his criticism on Tabrisi are reviewed.
