Human beings have normally been facing many concerns and anxieties during their life in this world and have always been trying to overcome and eliminate the causes of their arising. On the other hand, hope in the future and achieving peace of mind is deeply related to one’s world view, so that if a person sets their goal and philosophy of life on the basis of nihilism, they will inevitably face hopelessness, as their life is limited to their present events and accidents. For this reason, addressing the beliefs and insights of anyone concerning the world around them may, from this perspective, resolve many of the problems of the civilized modern man.
The present research intends to answer the question: What is the impact of Unity-oriented worship of God as well as the positive attitude towards death in creating and strengthening hope in human beings? In other words: How effective is cultivating the culture of ma‘ād (i.e. return to God) in creating and promoting spirit of hope? Finally, it is concluded that since according to the teachings of the Qur’ān real hope rests with Allah, thus, paying attention to ma‘ād and the life thereafter would cause awareness and rise of hope in man and struggle toward paving the way for growth and prosperity, which serves as a strong fortress against the identity crisis of the contemporary youths and adolescents.
