The Trainee’s Role in Education

Abstract

Raising the question as to what the relation is between the educator’s contribution to education and that of the one being educated (trainee) – whether it is equal, more, or less – the writer first deals with the conceptology of the words related to education such as training, purification, germination, and production, and then discusses the standards for trainer- or trainee-centeredness. He goes on, then, to talk about the Westerners’ viewpoint concerning this question and goes on to explain the Qur’an’s view in this respect. As per the writer’s conclusion, the Qur’an’s viewpoint is trainee-centered, rather than trainer-centered.
