Al-Shahīd al-Thānī has not directly dealt with the science of the occasions of Revelation in his Masālik al-Afhām, but in some cases he has benefited from the above occasions of Revelation in regard to the verses of the Qur'an. Sometimes, he notices these occasions in his own impressions, and at other times he refers to them while relating and criticizing other scholars' views. All in all, it can be said that al-Shahīd al-Thānī has accepted the occasions of Revelation as a tool in interpretation and forming an impression of the verses.
