There are some topics among the extensive and enormous ma‘ārif (teachings and doctrines) of the Holy Qur'an beyond human terrestrial perceptions, which in Qur'anic terms are called ghayb (unseen) and may not be accessed through external senses. All this knowledge is expressed through the words which comprise people's common language that is devised by them to tackle their everyday communicative requirements.
This article claims that the unseen realities stated in the Holy Qur'an are matters conforming to reality which have external equivalents and have been expressed in the Qur'an in the best possible way. Almighty God is free from saying something in the Qur'an that is not supported by reality and is merely allegorically and obliquely made up for guidance of His servants; rather, the Qur'anic ma‘ḥrif are rooted in reality, but since those lofty and heavenly truths were required to be cast and expressed in terrestrial words, some people with superficial glance at this kind of Qur'anic propositions have analyzed them according to subjective and terrestrial concepts or regarded them as fictitious or taken them as figurative and literary imagery, which are all false, as they have not grasped the reality of these propositions.
After explaining the theme and status of the discussion, the article clarifies the issue by stating and analyzing several Qur'anic examples. The subject of the article is a part of the fundamental discourses of Qur'anic interpretation and falls in the category of the Qur'an's linguistics. From another perspective, this issue is related to hermeneutics and interpretational presuppositions and it is required for every interpreter to specify their positions in the way they refer to this kind of verses in terms of accepting or rejecting the subject of the article.
