Abstract

Amr bayn al-amrayn (Principle of Middle Position) is amongst the fundamentals of the Shī‘ī intellectual doctrines. It is attempted in this paper to demonstrate the genuineness and integrity of the theory of Amr bayn al amrayn according to the principle of unity of Divine Acts and autonomous Creatorship of God, the original principle of causality as well as the principle of analogical gradation of existence. The writer has tried to briefly and sufficiently categorize the verses of the Qur'an in an interrelated and numerically comparable arrangement and by showing the resemblance of some components of the text to others tried to understand different groups of verses with reference to the statutory principles and unequivocal verses of the text itself and from the classification of different groups of the verses of the Qur'an which consist of ten groups achieve an inclusive indication among them which is the coherent theory of Amr bayn al amrayn.
