Who is Ibn Āshūr? What features does Tafsīr al-Taḥrīr wa al-Taḥrīr have? In this article, the writer gives a biography of Ibn Āshūr and introduces the features of his interpretation. First, he talks about the structure of this interpretation; then, he points out the methods applied in it. After that, he examines Ibn Āshūr's viewpoint concerning such categories of Qur'anic sciences as miracle (i‘jāz), abrogation (naskh), and the ambiguous (mutishābih); and in the end, explains the outstanding features of Tafsīr al-Taḥrīr wa al-Taḥrīr.
