Abstract

The writer first gives a definition of republicanism and then deals with its fundamental and practical components. Concerning the fundamental components, he discusses such topics as unity in the realm of thinking, justice-orientation, lawfulness, freedom of thought, popular satisfaction and acceptability; and in the section related to objective and practical components, he studies the following topics: continuous guidance and leadership, religious community, the existence of supervising organizations, and comprehensive political participation.
