Abstract
With the advent of Islam and the revelation of the Qur'anic verses, the concept of monotheism became the central theme of the Prophet's teachings in such a way that the tribal mindset that had previously prevailed was gradually replaced by the social relations based on faith in God. Using a qualitative content analysis method, this article aims to represent the effective social relations based on "monotheism" on both levels of affirmative and negative factors. Some of the affirmative actions include: fostering brotherly relationships with believers, monitoring the acts of the hypocrites, being prepared for threats from enemies, and establishing relations with people of the Scripture. In contrast, the Qur'an prohibits the believers from certain negative behaviors, such as inaction in relation to enemies, being influenced by the arrogant and satanic environments, and establishing warm and deep relationships with infidels. Effective social relations in light of the Qur'anic teachings not only strengthen the social solidarity and identity of the believers but is also effective in creating the conditions for moving towards a more monotheistic society.
