This paper addresses the importance of color from the viewpoint of the Qur'an. After an introduction concerning the importance of color in life, the writer examines the way the Qur'an looks at various colors; thereby, touching first upon the use of the expressions "lown" and "ṣibgha" and the conceptual secrets of these two terms. Then, he deals with various colors discussing in detail such colors as black, white, red, yellow, and green.
