What is going to be researched in this writing is as follows:
A survey of the verses related to the creation of peoples and nations and the human social relations indicates that Islam considers the issue of dialogue with utmost importance.
Also are touched upon here the unity of religions, human commonalities, tolerance, as bases of cultural interaction and dialogue from the viewpoint of the Qur’an. The Qur’an has brought up different kinds of dialogues from the viewpoint of addressees, method, and topic.
Regarding cultural dialogue and confrontation, the Qur’an has introduced as the basic principles and methods the fair argument, respectfulness, open-mindedness, emphasis on commonalities, observing fairness and equity, and attention to the positive characteristics of the addressees.
