This article searches into ‘Allāma Faḍl Allāh’s exegetical method in Tafsīr Min Waḥy al-Qur’ān. The writer believes that the most important feature of this tafsīr in terms of method is its rhetoric-orientation. The interpreter tries to hold the rules of rhetoric and the tools and consequences of rhetorical statements as a basis for understanding the verses. In this article, first the past records of rhetorical method is dealt with, then the standards for cognition of rhetorical dimensions from the viewpoint of ‘Allāma Faḍl Allāh are discussed, after that the application expanse of rhetoric-orientation procedure in Tafsīr Min Waḥy al-Qur’ān is set forth, and finally some examples of rhetoric-orientation interpretation in this book is touched upon.
