The Quranic phrase ‘wanafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī’ has been subject to two significant interpretations. In one, it is considered an additional, honorary combination of the spirit, while in the other, it signifies a real addition. The first interpretation is attributed to Allama Tabatabai (may he rest in peace), and the second to Allama Muhammad Taqi Ja’fari (may he rest in peace). In metaphysical wisdom, after establishing the intrinsic causal relationship due to an external cause, the explanation of harmony arises from the unity of causality and personal unity. Consequently, true existential duality between the necessary and the contingent does not allow for differentiation or compatibility. The concept of substantiality, commonly held due to the limitations of all existential determinations within the framework of metaphysical wisdom, is fundamentally flawed. The only coherent explanation aligns with the foundational principles of Sadraean thought, emphasizing the relationship of harmony, which, according to Allama Muhammad Taqi Ja’fari’s interpretation of the Quranic phrase ‘wanafakhtu fīhi min rūḥī’ is consistent with the concept of harmony. Allama Tabatabai’s interpretation of this Quranic expression cannot serve as evidence for the harmony between the transcendent God and humanity within the metaphysical wisdom system.
