The verses that indicate the actualization of speech in the Hereafter are divided into two categories: 1. Instances that indicate the issuance of speech absolutely and without the condition of permission; 2. Verses that indicate the negation and non-permission of its issuance absolutely. This has become a pretext for those who claim the existence of contradictions in the verses, who have consequently claimed that the Qur'an is not revealed. Interpreters have provided answers to resolve this apparent contradiction: A: Given the multiplicity of stations in the Hereafter, in some cases permission to speak is issued and in others speaking is prohibited. B: Considering the object (muta‘allaq) of permission, what is meant by permissible speech is the speech about intercession, and what is meant by impermissible speech is the speech about apology. C: Non-permission is interpreted as speech without proof or speech without benefit. The present research, by analyzing and examining the statements of interpreters, reappraising the verses of Divine permission and non-permission on the subject of speech, and citing other meanings and applications of permission in the Holy Qur'an, provides a different response in order to resolve this apparent conflict. The final result is that considering the other meanings of permission such as will, consent, and listening, the misconception (shubha) of conflict is fundamentally false and according to the Holy Qur'an there is no prohibition on speech on the Resurrection Day. In other words, speech is actualized in various stations in the Hereafter, but the important point is the sinners’ lack of benefit from making excuses and the non-acceptance of the intercession of intercessors on their behalf. In fact, the meaning of permission in the verses is not listening to and not paying attention to the words of sinners and non-dedication of the Divine will to contentment and acceptance of their excuse after having given ultimatum to them in the world.
