This article reviews the mystical interpretation and its roots. In the beginning, the writer gives an explanation of the concepts in question, describing such topics as titles, interpretation and comparison, ta’wīl (allegorical interpretation) and tanzīl (revelation), language of mysticism, and language of the Qur'an. Then, he goes on to talk about interpretation methods, and explicates the mystical interpretation and its difference with esoteric interpretation, giving some examples of mystical interpretations. Roots of mystical interpretation is another topic that the writer analyzes and, finally, makes an assessment and judgment concerning mystical interpretation.
