in this article, the historical background of quranic- jurisprudential discussions of sunni scholars, the status of the quran in the fundamentals of personal reasoning of different sunni sects, the difference in the sunnis"viewpoints in quranic jursprude ntial-quranic studies, such as, vocabulary, the denotative meaning of verses and their context, the characteristics of all sunni sects and the bases of their differences and finally the individualism of sunni jurisconsults are probed.
