The present article introduces and evaluates topical lexicons of the Qur'an. The writer starts with a discourse on the importance of topical lexicons and goes on to deal with the goals of writing such lexicons. Then, he concisely studies the past records of topical lexicons, makes separate assessments of the topical lexicons and dictionaries of the Qur'an published in Arabic and Persian, and introduces their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, he makes an assessment of Farhang-i Qur'ān (topical lexicon) compiled by Ayatollah Rafsanjānī and the researchers of The Center for Qur'an Lexicon, and explains its outstanding features.
