This article is intended to examine the issue of ghuluw (extremism) in the Qur'an. The writer first proceeds to explain the lexical meaning of ghuluw; then, on the basis of the concept of ghuluw, goes on to examine its proofs and examples in the Qur'an.
The extremism of Satan, Pharaoh, Jews and the Nazarenes, idolaters; extremism toward religious and heavenly leaders are the subjects of interest to this article.
